Jonathan Dyke: Driving profits via sustainable farming

Favourite AgriWebb feature? Drag and drop mob movements and movement histories! [I love] how easy it is to move the animals on the actual app from field to field, and to keep a trace of where they’ve been and how long paddocks have been [rested] for.”

Why AgriWebb?  “We saw the benefits of implementing AgriWebb almost instantly. As soon as we started to use it, {we could see} even simple things like live weight gains and how the cattle were doing in the group and on an individual basis. We didn’t get down to that level of detail beforehand.” Before using AgriWebb, we didn’t really keep a track on costs, but now going forward, being been able to track the feed costs will be a big step forward for us in ensuring that our gross margins are where they need to be. With AgriWebb we are able to weigh the cattle more regularly and then easily share that data with blade. they’ll be able to look at our data and how we’re performing as a farm, I see great value in Blade having access to this information.”

Why be part of a program like ABP Blade [now Gamechanger]?  I think it’s definitely worth being part of an integrated scheme. I’m very proud to be part of the [British Farming] industry, and hope that we can improve it moving forward. We need to produce food in the most sustainable and efficient way because we need to leave the land in a better state then when we took it on. I think that’s what the consumer wants, and what the British farm industry strives to achieve.
