From growing up in a small town in NSW, Australia, to working in the capital of the United Kingdom, there is one thing that has remained constant in Annabel Rodgers’ life: her love of agriculture.

Growing Up on the Farm

Annabel grew up in Merriwa, in the Hunter region of NSW, on her family beef property, ‘Oakley Angus’. Bel, as she is known as by the AgriWebb team, spent her childhood feeding poddy calves before school, bombing around on scruffy ponies at pony club, and helping out on the family farm, before heading to Sydney to study a Bachelor’s of Food Science and Agribusiness at The University of Sydney.

Life at AgriWebb

Bel’s passion for agriculture took her on university trips to Cambodia and the Kimberley, and now to London with AgriWebb, where she helps drive our UK business across sales, partner program initiatives, and events. One of her favourite parts of the job is that she can be sitting in the London office one day, and out on the farm amongst sheep and cattle the next. “I have learnt so much about the agriculture industry whilst at AgriWebb, especially here in the UK. I’m really enjoying meeting farmers facing and overcoming different challenges to those back home“.

Having a great team definitely makes life easier, Bel says, “the AgriWebb team is so driven to delivering the best farm management software on the planet. We are growing so rapidly that there is a constant positive atmosphere that we will achieve our goals”

The Future of Agriculture

Despite all the challenges she has watched the industry face this year due to COVID-19, Bel couldn’t be more certain that the future of agriculture is in safe hands, “I am really confident about the future of agriculture. It has so much potential to sustainably innovate and transform. Agriculture really is an industry where individuals can make a difference, and that’s why I love it.”.
