“With AgriWebb’s Livestock Management Software and Cargill’s expertise in animal nutrition, we can increase productivity, drive efficiency, and sustainability for Brazilian ranchers who collectively manage more than 200 million head of cattle, the largest commercial herd in the world. This is only the beginning of what we can do together in terms of digitizing farms and ranches globally to improve on-farm productivity and better tackle the sustainability challenges and opportunities that are on our doorstep.”
John Fargher Co-Founder, and Chief Strategy Officer of AgriWebb
Our mission to create the very best tools to feed the word profitably and sustainably has now touched ground in Brazil! We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health, and to be teaming up to bring digital transformation to life in the Brazilian livestock industry. Distributed by Cargill, AgriWebb now offers Brazilian cattle farmers the opportunity to harness the power of their on-farm data and leverage new insights to operate more productively, sustainably, efficiently, and transparently than ever before.
For the past few years, AgriWebb and Cargill have been working with ranchers in Brazil to understand how we can best serve their needs. Brazilian ranchers manage more than 200 million head of cattle, and more than 90% of these cattle are finished on grass. Together, our partnership
We’re pretty excited to announce that we’ve secured an additional AU$10 million (US $6.7 million, £6 million) in our series B funding round, bringing our total Series B to AU$40M (US $27 million, £23.7 million). We’re equally excited to welcome two new top tier investors, Germin8 Ventures and iSelect Fund, who care as much as we do about supporting agtech innovations that can measurably address critical global issues like food security and sustainability. These two new partners are in amazing company with Grosvenor Food & AgTech, Telus, The Clean Energy Finance Corporation, and other UHNWs who have already helped us get to where we are today.
We’re also quite proud of the fact that this raise defied some of the toughest investor market conditions we’ve all seen in recent history – and that we defied them because we, our investors, and you, our global farming and ranching community, know that what we’re doing will make a positive impact on the future of our industry.
Have questions about the partnership? We’ve got answers!
When a growing company announce big news like we have, we know it’s only natural to wonder what the company news means for you as a customer. That’s why we’ve created a comprehensive Q&A section to help you understand exactly what you can expect now that we’re officially partnered with Cargill Animal Nutrition in Brazil. The good news? It’s business as usual for all of our existing customers!!
I am currently an AgriWebb customer. How will the AgriWebb + Cargill Animal Nutrition partnership affect me?
Our current partnership with Cargill Animal Nutrition is exclusive to the Brazil market. If you are a customer in the United States or in another country outside of Brazil, there will be no impact on your AgriWebb experience. This includes your ownership of your data, which will always belong to you! As we work closely with Brazilian ranchers through our Cargill partnership, however, we do expect to uncover more ways we can improve our product experience for AgriWebb customers everywhere. This is especially true when it comes to improving our ability to support your long term sustainability and land stewardship goals.
Is anything going to change with how AgriWebb operates?
It’s business as usual at AgriWebb! We’re as dedicated as ever to our core values, and to supporting farmers and ranchers everywhere. We have a dedicated team focused on serving customers in our newly Brazilian market, and we won’t be diverting resources from customer service in the US or in any other market. You can expect the same exceptional level of customer service that you’ve always expected form AgriWebb, no matter where you live.
We’re expanding our partner ecosystem
Cargill aims to promote sustainability through its efforts to protect the environment and has been working on incorporating new technology that would enable it to make zero-carbon shipping possible. Our team is excited to play a role in this and work across their producers to push these goals forward as they align well with the mission and vision we have at AgriWebb.
This includes exciting upcoming partnerships with market leaders like Cibo Labs, Farmbot, ruumi, RanchSense, Farmo and more, and all of these integrations will soon be made available in the new AgriWebb Partner Marketplace launching in late 2022. Whether you’re feeding remote sensing data into AgriWebb or pulling sustainability data out of AgriWebb we want to bring the best that AgTech has to offer to our 16,000+ farmers and ranchers.
As the industry continues to evolve, we shouldn’t look to change the mindset of a farmer or rancher. It’s already where it should be; focused on improving the land for the next generation. Instead, the focus should move towards the tools and technology being developed to support you. It’s imperative that holistic tools are being created to equip you to do your job better, faster and easier.
It takes a village
