Traceability made easy: AgriWebb integrates with RMIS
Our new integration with Red Meat Industry Services (RMIS) removes the guesswork from compliance. You focus on your livestock; our tech handles the paper trail. This simple step protects your farm and keeps our local industry competitive.
Your farm, mapped and traceable
The RMIS Geo Location Number (GLN) is a unique 13-digit identifier. It links digitally to your property’s GPS coordinates. Think of the GLN as a digital passport for your farm. By adding this number to AgriWebb, you unlock real-time protection:
- Early warning system: The system geo-fences your farm. You will receive automated WhatsApp alerts if a Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak is detected within 30km of your boundary.
- Market access: More and more local buyers and feedlots are starting to require a GLN before they’ll even look at a lot of weaner calves. Having this sorted now means you won’t be left behind when it’s time to sell.
- Audit-ready records: During a disease scare, one click proves exactly where your animals have been. This protects both your reputation and your herd.
From late 2025 onwards, many buyers, feedlots, and abattoirs now require this number to verify the origin of livestock before a sale can be finalised.
Practical tools for real farmers
The AgriWebb and RMIS integration provides practical solutions for the red meat value chain. It helps you future-proof your operation and ensures South African red meat remains world-class. Now, you have the data to prove your hard work.
